Orientation

Dear New Students,

You will hear this a lot over Orientation weekend—"Welcome!"

You will hear it frequently because our community is excited to have you at Franklin College. Over the four day experience of Orientation weekend you will meet many people who are committed to helping you get off to a good start at FC.

Besides meeting lots of people, the goal for New Student Orientation is to get you ready. Starting in your LA 100 class, we want to get you ready for your classes, and to get you acclimated to FC for the long term. Ultimately, the goal is to help you succeed as a student and to graduate from Franklin College.

To make it all come together we will need you to be actively engaged by attending the events, participating in the activities, and asking questions so that you are ready to succeed.

I look forward to meeting you when you arrive on campus. Feel free to stop me and introduce yourself. It is great to have you joining our Franklin College community!

New student orientation for the 2012-2013 school year is August 24-28.  Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details.

Sincerely,

E. F. Hall III
Dean of Students
